Time with Old Friends
We spent Saturday morning with our dear friends Andrew and Kristen. We hadn't seen each other in over a year and i was a little nervous about how the chemistry would be between us. They moved to St Petersburg 3 years ago. You know when you haven't seen someone in a while you wonder if you'll just pick up where you left off or if you will realize you aren't as close anymore.. This was better than either of those.
I was praying all day Friday that the Holy Spirit would just be in our home and in Brian and I so we would be an encouragement to them and them to us. It was so beautiful. They walked in and the electricity of our friendship was present the entire time we were together. Andrew and Kristen are the kind of people that you just dream of having as friends. Brian and i were talking about it after they left.. They are both so beautiful on the outside you don't expect them to be just as incredible on the inside too. They are so genuine and care so much for people around them and more importatly what Jesus wants for them. They are true disciples of Jesus. We had such great conversation the whole morning. Questions about things going on with us, pregnancy for me, Brian's work at Grace, Andrew's job at the bank and Kristen's new job at the radio station...mixed with humor and genuine vulnerability.. It was just the funest time we've spent with friends in a while..
My favorite part was probably seeing the way Brian interacts with both of them.. he really lets loose and gets excited. He made us this amazing breakfast, pankakes, bacon and scrambled eggs.. He is getting so good at it! We just hung around the table for a long time. I showed them Lucy's room and the apartment.. Kristen had got me a gift for Lucy, a cute outfit i know she will love!
Then we wanted to take them to the new Grace building. Mark and Kathy happen to be there so that was fun for them to catch up with them too. Brian was so excited when he showed them the building and what our plans were & what it looked like before. His eyes just shown it was so sweet to see him so excited.
Then we went to the new Thomas Road building. It looks amazing! We loved it. They have a done a great job with the place. It's so nice that it's open to the public too. It's just so cozy in there. This is where we got our picture taken. After we ordered our coffee's at the "Lion and the Lamb" café. They took off after we all prayed together in the parking lot around 2. Kristen and Andrew, thanks so much for making time for us. We love you guys! May the Lord continue to bless you greatly!

Joy, You look so good in all of your photos! Pregnancy really does fit you splendidly! I am anxiously awaiting the news of my new baby cousin, I hope in the excitement that everybody doesn't forget to notify the rest of the family! Trey, Taylor and I should all be in VA the weekend of the 15th of Dec. I am excited to say goodbye to everyone in person, but honestly, I have to admit that I am EXTREMELY excited about meeting Lucy! Love you guys!
