"The Fun Ship"

I just got back monday Oct 4 from our extra long vacation. Mom, my friend Kim and i went on a cruise together to Mexico and Jamaica, then were in Miami and Orlando. We were gone a total of 18 days. That is a long time to be away from your husband. i had a hard time being away from him. We had fun- did we ever!

We were on a Carnival Cruise. "The Fun Ship" I have never seen so many bars in one place before in my life. They even had dress up nights. You get all decked out then go to dinner ( a very nice dinner) then have your picture taken and that evening go to a show, Vegas Style! But it just seemed like every opportunity was another to say.. man i can't believe i'm here without brian. I was having a hard time getting over that fact.

First we were in Miami we visited "Sabores Chilenos" the chilean restaurant and stayed in this real nice condo on a lake there for 2 nights. Shopped at the mall (the only thing i know brian wouldn't have liked to do) Our ship left on Saturday it was a 7 day cruise. Our first stop was Cozumel, Mexico there we did the Eco Jeep adventure. We rode (I got to drive the only automatic one it pays to speak spanish :) in these jeeps off roading till we came to a light house, we saw a tiny Mayan temple that can predict hurricanes. then we went snorkeling! what a blast. I have never seen anything so beautiful!
Then after a fun day at sea we stoped in Costa Maya, Mexico a party town. There was actually a pool in the mist of like 3 bars then surrounded by shops. Did some shopping there too.
After another Fun day at sea. We made our last stop at Ocho Rios, Jamaica. There we Kayaked in the ocean singing Bob Marley songs (appropriate i thought) till we made it to Dunns River Falls. There we climbed up the falls holding hands with everyone.
As we were on our way back to the port of Miami we were told that Hurricane Jeanne was on her way too. We weren't sure if we were going to be able to get off the boat or not. i was afraid. Saturday morning the Ship captain Mark Price, told us we were not able to go into Miami the port was closed. We had 2 more free days at sea!

Monday we finally arrived to Miami to the same nice condo, we went to the Chilean restarant 3 more times. We were addicted at this point! our next stop was Orlando. We flew. we were going to an Elizabeth George conference in Lakeland FL Friday night. So we're like well we have some time. Lets hang out in Orlando! So we went to Cirque de Solei - La Nuba Wed night and then to Disney World on Thursday. We got free park hoppers! Visited the Animal Kingdom and MGM, I loved the Safari!
I was so silly i got a bracelet with Brians name on it at the Animal Kingdom ha ha! I had it bad!

Then Friday night was the beginning of the conference with famous speaker and Author Elizabeth George at Heritage Baptist Church in Lakeland FL. We also got to spend some time with my brother. Will in his new house where we stayed. So Saturday night we went to a drive-in movie we saw Shark Tales (one more, wish brian was here moment) Mom ran into an old friend of ours. at the Drive-in Cammie, i hadn't seen her in years! She has 2 children. They are beautiful. It was great to catch up with her on Sunday.

Monday morning Oct 4 we were to return to my homeland! Lynchburg. First we were lost to find the rental car place.. i was so upset.. i thought i would die if i didn't get on that plane. Then mom left her computer on the bus taking us to the airport. ahh! Kim and i got on the plane with out her. It was all good. I got to see brian at 3pm boy did i miss him like crazy!
Love you baby! I really can't live with out you.
