Kickin' in Hawaii
We're home! we just got back Tuesday night. What a rough trip back. it took over 12 hrs to get home, ahh i'm still tired. There were a few more things i wanted to tell you about our trip to Hawaii. First: we felt the baby kick for the FIRST time while we were there. i wasn't even at my 16th week yet. it was like thursday i think b4 we left. We were just sitting on the couch and Brian had his hand on my belly cause we were trying to see if we felt anything. Then it happen! Brian didn't actually feel anything but i did!! OH MY GOSH it was the coolest thing ever. I love it i'm addicted to it. I'm waiting for it all day now. It just feels like a little flutter. Something has really changed inside me about this baby, i think i'm in love and we've never met! I'm so thankful for this blessing and the way that the baby is growing inside me it is soo amazing to know that God actually wants me to be a mom. I know He will give me the strength to be the mom i should be...
So in Hawaii, i had the camcorder with me at all times, (you guessed it) so i'm going to put a little something together eventually. But we did take tons of pictures. Hope you enjoy those. We had so much fun on our Babymoon. It was just what we needed it to be. I'm having Brian withdrawls now cause i don't get to be with him as much as i was while we were there. I LOOOVE spending time with that boy!
The last really cool thing that happen in Hawaii was that we didn't exactly have a ride to the airport. Which is an hour drive. So we couldn't just ask someone for a ride. it would be like asking someone to give me a ride to the Charlottesville Airport... uh so we either pay $60, for a shuttle, on the cc cause our Hawaii money was pretty much gone, or just keep praying that the Lord would provide a ride.
So we went to church on Sunday at the church next to the Farmers Market it was so great. We even sang in Hawaiian. We met some great people.. i kept on freeking out tho like i just wanted to beg someone for a ride... but it never came up.. so we waited. Our plane was leaving at 10pm Monday night so we needed to be on our way around 7pm. So we go to the Market in the morning to say bye to Patrick our Hawaii friend :) He actually tells us that he's moving back to San Francisco in a month.. Hope he finds what he is looking for there.
Anyway we're talking about the baby kicking and how great it will be to be parents and he introduces us to his friend David. David within like 2 minutes of the conversation mentions Abraham and Sarah and their blessing after soo many years... A Brother! He looks at us and he's like you guys need to move to Maui, we need more people here to help with what is going on. We need more of the Spirit here. He said that things were rough and he started tearing up about it. He didn't give much detail but, we asked if we could pray for him. So when we were done praying, he thanked us and asked how long we were in Maui. I'm like, "actually we leave today, we're just trying to find a ride to the airport"... no sooner did i get the words out of my mouth he said" I'LL TAKE YOU!" What? we just met this guy? i'm like, "can we give you money for gas??" - "no way! I work for HIM, i get off work around 7PM!!!! so just come by and i'll take you." OH MY GOSH HOW DID THAT HAPPEN? It was so cool. Brian and i had been praying since we got there for a ride and now we got to ride with a new friend, a fellow believer- David! Of the course the ride to the airport was amazing. He talked incessantly about scripture and his love for others and for God. UNREAL! So that's how our trip ended. I had to share it with you! God is soo good. Don't forget what good things He has done for you! EVER. Write it down.. go to People2Pray.com.. write it, archive it, whatever just don't forget what great things He has done! Tell it to your self over and over and tell it to your kids all the time!! He is so good.
Thanks for praying and thinking of us while we were gone. Missed you guys- not too bad tho :) see you soon.
