He's dating a new woman!
First let me just say thanks so much for posting comments! That is way more than i thought were reading my blog. It's nice to know :) i really appreciate your participation in my experiment :)
Got my hair done on Thursday and decided to just chop it off. Brian had given me a coupon for christmas for a night out for dinner and a private concert. It was soo much fun. So we dropped Lucy off at her Mimi's house and went to Olive Garden. We had a delicious meal even had dessert and a cappuccino! We ran into some old friends there and chatted while they waited for a table. They were out for a much needed date night too.
Then we went to his "studio" His piano is in his office right now and he's been writing some new music. He played me every song he could remember. He has this bad habit of writing a song and then after a while he forgets it. I was helping him remember some of the lyrics. We've already talked about this. He is going to start writing them all down. I told him they might not mean much to him now (the ones he forgets) but when Lucy decides to make it as a Musician and finds all his old songs one day she'll make a "dad album" he'll be glad he kept them :) So he gets done with all the great ones, then he plays me this new song. OHMYGOSH!! it's soo amazing. The lyrics are so incredible! It's written from the perspective of someone who is struggling with believing God is close. There is this one line stuck in my head i can't get it out - You leave us down here on our own, You leave us down here on our own, You leave us down here on our own, don't You see the damage that we have caused....
So proud of you baby! i can't wait for you to get your stuff on an album! my ipod is waiting..
Then Saturday my Lucy who i've renamed Smiles Morykon on day's like this was just smiling so hard on her changing table i had to get some pictures. This is her and her new friend Leonardo the Lion. We call him Leo and he has a great latin accent (similar to Maria, she speaks english like a Chilean) He speaks spanish to her sometimes too, she just loves it.
She has been learning to really focus her eyes on things. I was trying to get her to look at the camera. She did great! love this face! Those CHEEKS-!!
Then we went to the Peaks View park - i can't believe what a beautiful day it was! IT IS JANUARY and it feels like spring! I was wearing my flip-flops. it's kinda freaky. Just makes me wonder what July is going to feel like. We'll be melting for sure. That Global Warming thing is totally true! Here we are hanging out with Papa. Brian's parents have been in town for a few weeks from France. It has been so nice hanging out with them. His mom was in Oklahoma visiting her family so we took dad on a picnic lunch. What a blast. I even had my ipod speakers out with us. It was so nice. Lucy wasn't digging the wind tho, as you can see.
It was a great weekend. Even tho Lucy's schedule was thrown off a bit, we suffered from that Saturday night. Mom and Lucy had a rough Sunday morning. I learned my lesson tho.
Sunday night we had a meeting with all the Bloom girls and planned what we wanted to do this year. We are so excited about it. We are planning a Craft Fair in April. More on that soon.
Oh and if you are interested in seeing what i was working on for Christmas take a look.

Just cruised over here from your comment on Pyglet Whispers because my mom's name is Joy and I always check out the Joy bloggers.
Saw your "hey who's reading" post so I'm dropping a comment.
I beg to differ re: your profile. MY husband is the best husband on the planet. Like, DUH!
She sure is a sweetie! How neat that Leo speaks Spanish to her! I grew up in Taiwan and had all these plans of speaking to them in Mandarin and having bilingual kids. Well, 3 kids in 3 years took care of that. Now we're looking into enrolling them in Chinese school on Saturday mornings. :o)
I tried to email you, but it came back...hmmm. Here goes: You're just like me. I want to give handmade gifts, then I'm nervous that my friends are just using them to please me. I often will preface my gift by saying, "You don't have to use this if you don't want to..." Funny. :o)
