Time with my favorite person

As you know my favorite person in the world is my husband brian. i love being with him. He creates such an environment of encouragement and formation to make me bloom into the person i should become. I love the boy! We've recently decided to take a 2 night trip every few months. It has been so great for our relationship to spend time together away from home doing nothing (well, pretty much) This past week we took a trip to Charlottesville, VA. It was beautiful! We stayed at the Dinsmore House. It is right in downtown C-ville in walking distance from UVA and not far from the downtown mall. It was so wonderful. First of all the Dinsmore House was by far the best B&B we have ever stayed with. Ryan and Dennise the Innkeepers were way cool. The were young and just really about making the place look great and feel great. I can't wait to go back!

So we got there Tuesday afternoon checked in to our upgrade, the Madison Room, and met up with our new friend James for dinner at Sigon cafe. He had just installed a new hard drive in my computer (which i love! Thanks James) and was getting it back to me then since he lives in C-ville. Then Wed we just goofed around, slept in then had a delicious breakfast and took a nap. ahh it is so wonderful to spend time with my favorite person! love him! Then we went to the corner and had lunch at Bodo's Bagels Yum!

After a pumkin iced latte at Starbucks we went for a tour of The Rotunda at UVA. That campus is absolutely beautiful! I could have hung out there all day! We toured the gardens, we even found a bunny in one of them. That night we ate at Sticks Kabob restaurant and loved that food! Come to think of it we didn't have any food in C-ville that we didn't like. We had a Key Lime bar from the Daily Grind and some wine when we got back to the Madison Room. That night we watched the end of Indecent Proposal, good stuff.

So Thursday We checked out after breakfast and parked at the downtown mall. The first cool place we found was a little shop called Innisfree. They are a community for mentally disabled folks to live and work there. They weave at their own weavery and the shop had tons of cool stuff they had made. I got some bookmarks and a pair of Peruvian Earings. They also had products from Ten Thousand Villages. too cool. Then there was a yarn shop! The Needle Lady. They had incredible yarn and they were so helpful! i am super excited about going to take a class there sometime. I also discovered some cool yarn from chile! i totally would have bought every skein if i could. It was patagonia nature cotton, it was beautiful, i totally loved it! i spent a little too much time in there and want to go back there, bad. After that we had lunch at the Cafe Cubano. We had paninis and i got a cafe con leche. yummy! Then drove home cause i had to work that night.
I love being with you brian! Thanks for carving out time for me. I love you more every day. Thanks for C-ville time. Let's go again ok?
