4 Weeks!

We have been having so much fun with Lucy. Daddy took some cute pictures of us together - more to come.

So you know you kiss your baby too much when she spits up in your mouth! yup yesterday morning good thing my mouth was semi-closed. Ha! I also woke up with my shirt up and my boob hanging out yesterday - what the?? I must have been dreaming that i had to feed her. Brian and i were cracking up!

We really have gotten down a pretty good routine. She usually eats, then we have wake time, (which she spends with us, mom taking a shower or eating or in front of her mirrors and mobile) then she takes a nap and starts the cycle again around every 3 hrs. She was so cute the other day in front of her mirrors, she had hiccups and was in a great mood. Mornings are wonderful for her usually. Night times are getting more manageable too. I did last night on my own and i still feel great. Love this baby!

Here are some other pictures from this week:
Wake time?

Chris and Brook came over for lunch during cranky time, right before her nap! Sorry guys. They were good sports about it tho.

This is what her room looks like now with her mirrors and mobile i made. I've been reading this book and i'm learning so much about what kinds of things i can make for her to help her with each stage. Beginning with mobile's to help her focus her eyes then moving to rattles and baskets of items for her to explore and learn about. I love this book! I'm so excited to see her enjoy each thing. She loves this mobile cause of how shinny it is. i made it from the idea in the book to make a metallic mobile just used christmas ornaments. i think she will dig it more in a few weeks when she learns to focus on it better. It's cool cause she can see it in the mirror too.

Lucy time

Mom and Lucy decided to go for a walk on a very windy day. She wasn't a happy camper, but she looked so cute. This is the hat and scarf i made her. I just stenciled this shirt for her too. i love the way she looks in it.

I took this video of her the other day. I love the way she sneezes. I know i'm just too crazy about her. She's playing on the floor gym that Judah loaned her. She likes to stare at the animals.

We went for her 2 week check up and i was concerned they might ask me about her feeding, cause we are trying to set up a routine which is working really great for us. But she is over 8 pounds already! i'm so happy. My girl loves to eat! She has been so much fun. I feel like she has changed so much even since we brought her home. She is pretty chill most of the time and i'm learning what her cries mean more and more. I can tell when she's hungry, just tired or even whining. It's pretty cool. I'm so crazy about this little girl.

Brian did something for me that changed my life. We decided that i would pump so he could feed her once in the middle of the night so i could get more sleep. I actually got 5 or 6 hrs Friday night - I was a new woman! It is unreal what a little sleep will do for you! I have such a positive perspective when i get to sleep more. I mean i felt like i had slept 12 hrs. Course my boobs felt like they would explode when i woke up and i pumped again for the next night daddy feels like doing that again. I also started feeding her in bed. So she wakes up and Brian will bring her to me to feed her in bed, it works great. Sometimes we just take a little nap together. She is pretty noisy when she eats so we are trying to figure out when to do it in the middle of the night so daddy still gets his sleep. He said he would do it every night. He gets Saturday nights off completely cause he has to be at church so early.

We have been finding more ways to spend time together. We usually put her to bed after her bath around 7 or 8 and we hang out until i have to feed her once more before we go to bed. It's nice to have this time together. We actually watched a movie Friday night while she was sleeping. I love spending time with Brian. As long as i'm getting some sleep and spending time with him i'm totally good. It's amazing! It's just the little things. I mean i even love her more when i get sleep and daddy time. This time has been hard, i had a great nap today and we are working on putting the tree up so i'm feeling pretty good, but i still cry about something almost every day.

Speaking of crying - She's doing the crying right now, is it time to eat again?
